2011 TEAM SUPERSTAR SUMMER TEAM TRYOUTS:

Online Registration for the 2011 Team Superstar Summer Travel Teams will open on August 1st.  We will field a team at each age group from current 4th graders all the way through current Juniors in HS.  This years age brackets will be based on your son’s high school graduation year.  All tryouts will take place on Sunday, September 19th at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, CT.  Don’t miss your chance to join the Elite Summer Travel Program in Westchester and Fairfield Counties!  

Team Superstar burst onto the Summer Travel Team scene in 2008 with 3 teams.  In 2010, Team Superstar fielded 12 teams and has quickly become one of the most highly regarded programs in the country.  Our philosophy is simple.  Give the developing lacrosse player the best coaching, the most practice time and the best gear and support them as they pursue their dream of playing college lacrosse.  If you are comparing “Apples to Apples”, there are two simple things that set us apart from our competition:

#1.  Contact Time.  Make sure you count the number of hours your player is on the field with his teammates and coaches with other organizations.  My bet is that with Team Superstar, your child will spend TWICE as much time practicing as they would with our competition.  That’s because our Team Superstar Training Camp is designed to get the most out of your player and our teams.  When other programs run 10 practices (generally about 15 hours of practice time) and call it quits, we include the training camp at no additional fee, providing an ADDITIONAL 15 hours of contact time. The results speak for themselves.  

#2.  Coaching Staff. The second thing that set’s us apart is our coaching staff.  We hire 2 coaches per team. A head coach who is an adult and has a strong background in coaching and education and an assistant coach who is currently playing or has recently played college lacrosse. This system provides the educational leadership your son needs along with the positive younger role model that kids are so excited about. 

Online Registration opens 8/1/10 at www.superstarlacrosse.com.  ALL players must register online in order to tryout for a 2011 Team Superstar Team! All players will receive a custom tryout T-shirt.

FIRST PRACTICE: TUESDAY, JUNE 14TH OF 2011.

NOTE:  NO PRACTICES OR TOURNAMENTS WILL BE SCHEDULED FROM 7/1 THROUGH 7/4 FOR JULY FOURTH WEEKEND!

REMAINING PRACTICES: 6/14,  6/16, 6/21, 6/23, 7/5, 7/7, 7/12, 7/14, 7/19, 7/21 (WE SCHEDULE 10 PRACTICES AND USUALLY GET IN 8 DUE TO THUNDER AND LIGHTNING CANCELLATIONS)

2011 TRAINING CAMP: 6/27, 6/28, 6/29- MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY (RAIN DATE IS THURSDAY 6/30)

***2014 THROUGH 2019 TEAMS WILL GO FROM 9AM TO 2PM  AT THE HARVEY SCHOOL IN KATONAH.

***2012 AND 2013 TEAMS WILL GO FROM 4:30PM TO 7PM AT THE HARVEY SCHOOL IN KATONAH.

LEHIGH LAXFEST TOURNEY: 6/18 AND 6/19 (TEAMS ONLY PLAY ONE DAY- YOUTH ON SAT, HS ON SUN)

NEYLAT AND MIDSUMMER CLASSIC TOURNEY: 7/9 AND 7/10 (ALL TEAMS PLAY BOTH DAYS- 3 GAMES SAT, 2 GAMES SUN)

LI CLASSIC AT HOFSTRA: 7/15, 7/16 AND 7/17 (ALL TEAMS MAY PLAY A FRIDAY GAME- BUT WOULD NOT PLAY THREE STRAIGHT DAYS)

CHARGER TOURNEY: 7/23 AND 7/24 (TEAMS ONLY PLAY ONE DAY- YOUTH ON SAT, HS ON SUN)

CHAMP CAMP OR HOTBEDS TEAM CAMP:  ONLY THE 2012 TEAMS WILL ATTEND EITHER CHAMP CAMP OR HOTBEDS- ADDITIONAL FEE @ $500-$600. WE ARE STILL CONSIDERING SENDING THE 2013 TEAMS.
