This is a significant accomplishment! More than 300 players came out for our box teams and we will only select a total of 160 players to participate in our program!
***PLEASE NOTE: This email is only being sent to the 10 top players per team at this time. After our second tryout on August 8th & our supplemental tryout on August 15th, I will re-send this exact email to the full roster (18-20 players per team including goalies). We will save approx. 10 roster spots per team until after the final evaluation is completed. IF YOU HAVE ANY FRIENDS THAT YOU THINK MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT, BY ALL MEANS FORWARD THE FINAL TRYOUT INFORMATION TO THEM. Team Superstar is one of the premier box lacrosse programs in the country and we are really excited to work with you this winter! Team Superstar won USBOXLA National Championships in both 2018 & 2019 and we have developed a huge following among box lacrosse players, coaches and fans across the country! You are going to love the game of box lacrosse and being a part of our program!
There is a lot of information within this email, most of which is also located on the Superstar Lacrosse website (www.superstarlacrosse.com). We hope this format puts the important information within your reach at all times. The basic schedule outline is listed at the bottom of this email for planning purposes. The tournament schedule this year is significantly better than it has been over the last few seasons, with holiday/vacation weekends being avoided! Our team specific website pages will be updated and emailed out over the next few weeks and will include full rosters by September 1st, 2022.
In order to accept and secure your spot within the Team Superstar Box Lacrosse Program, please use the Team Superstar Training Fee link below to make your payment. Tryouts were extremely competitive and our roster slots are limited! If your training fee payment hasn't been made by August 14th, 2022, and we haven't heard from you to make other payment arrangements, we will move down the depth chart and offer that roster spot to a new player from the next 2 tryouts.

Training Fee includes all box lacrosse training camps and scoring & skills sessions. Players will also be required to pay the Team Superstar Tournament Registration Fee ($395-$595 depending on number of tournaments selected) as explained below. Please note that ALL Team Superstar Box Team players will need to participate in our Box Training Program AND commit to attending at least 2 box tournaments to be eligible for a roster spot!
TOURNEY FEE (PAYMENT #2) INFO: The second payment amount (Tourney Fee) will be dependent upon how many tournaments you elect to participate in. This payment registration process will happen in late August/early September once our final tournament schedule has been confirmed. During the "Tourney Fee" registration process, you will carefully select which tournaments you would like to attend and make the appropriate tournament fee payment at that time.
Tourney Fee Info: ***This fee includes all tournament fees & coaching.
If your player will attend 2 tournaments, the fee would be $395
If your player will attend 3 tournaments, the fee would be $495.
If your player will attend 4 tournaments, the fee would be $595.
***All players must register for at least two tournaments to be eligible for the season!

PROGRAM DIRECTOR, COACHES AND INSTRUCTION:
I (Roy Colsey) will be the lead instructor and program director for all Skills & Scoring Sessions and will act as an assistant coach to all teams at each tournament. I will assign a head coach and an assistant coach to each of our box teams this season. By not assigning myself a head coach, I will have the ability to coach and provide feedback to our players and to my coaching staff. As many of you saw first-hand last box season, I will be on the sideline coaching each team at each tournament (as best as I possibly can)! It's exhausting at times, but I want to provide all of my Superstar players expert instruction within the game of box lacrosse! We have assembled a very strong coaching staff for this winter and we look forward to providing your players with expert and passionate coaching!

***2030AA through HS Elite eams will have a 2-hour practice slot between 10am & 6pm on the following dates in 2022/2023:
***NOTE: 2031AA team will have it's own practice schedule and will based out of American Lacrosse Academy in Ridgefield, CT.

Scoring & Skills Sessions: Flexible Time, Date & Location- 8 Weeks of Sessions:
***Players will select a one hour session each week around their winter sports schedule at one of 2 locations: American Lacrosse Academy in Ridgefield, CT or Somers Sports Arena in Somers, NY.
***7th & 8th Graders (2027 & 2028 Teams) may also choose to attend four 2-Hour Thursday night sessions in place of the eight 1-hour Scoring & Skills sessions if that is easier for them to make!!!
Scoring & Skills Sessions will be offered to the 2030AA, 2029AA, 2028AA, 2027AA teams per the schedule below:

***IT IS MY INTENTION TO ELIMINATE THE FIRST TOURNAMENT ON THE NORMAL SCHEDULE FOR THE 2022/2023 SEASON IN ORDER TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE FULL ROSTERS AND HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT TIME TO PRACTICE TOGETHER BEFORE PLAYING IN ANY EVENTS. The first tournament of the winter will be the Northeast Regional Tournament on Janury 7th & 8th of 2023.
